Sam Waicberg - President and Chief Executive Officer
Sam Waicberg is a veteran in the voice and communications space with 15 years of executive management experience. Prior to joining Iperia, Sam provided leadership as Vice President of North American Sales and Services for Fluency, a U.K. based voice recognition software provider. Sam also was responsible for establishing an extensive global network of partners and for successfully implementing multichannel corporate sales efforts at Envox Worldwide prior to Fluency. At Ascendent Systems prior to Fluency, Sam's leadership as Vice President of Worldwide Sales contributed to a successful acquisition by RIM (Research in Motion). Sam has also held leadership roles at Aspect Communications, Blue Martini Software, Crossworlds Software, and Oracle Corporation.
Mark Phillips - Chief Technology Officer
Mark Phillips has successfully lead technology and software development efforts for more than two decades. He has held executive positions at various early-stage technology companies in Silicon Valley, serving as vice president of product development at General Magic until 2001, where he was responsible for building and overseeing the company's technical and linguistics teams and planning and implementing the company's enterprise-focused product direction. He was chief technology officer and vice president of engineering at OPI Software and Angara E-Commerce Services, and also held positions at Insession, Inc. and Transactions Systems Architects, Inc. He began his career at IBM and Tandem Computers. Mr. Phillips earned a master of science degree in physics from Oxford University. He holds 15 patents.
Dick O’Connor - Executive Vice President
Dick O’Connor brings to Iperia more than 25 years of financial management experience. He was the founding member of IntelliCap, and served as Managing Partner, a professional services firm focused in the software industry. IntelliCap provided detailed financial/value analysis for enterprise application software companies including SAP, Adobe, and Oracle. While at IntelliCap he financed over $150,000,000 of software acquisitions. Prior to Intellicap, he was co-founder and President for ILM, a professional services company specialized in the design and management of captive customer finance programs building out finance arms for companies such as Silicon Graphics, Oracle, Octel, Netscape, BEA, Synopsis, and ADAC Laboratories. O’Connor was an integral player in growing ILM to $175M at their peak leading to an acquisition by Sierra Cities.com which was a $1B finance company and the first to do on-line internet financing for loans and leases to small businesses. O’Connor was the SVP in charge of the Technology Group at Sierra Cities through an acquisition to American Express which still operates as their core business credit division.
Prior to ILM, O’Connor was Vice President Treasurer for Convergent Technologies and served as the Financial Manager for the 13 company software acquisition roll up. Additionally he served as Corporate Controller for Dataserv. Prior to that O’Connor had various management roles at The Toro Company and G.E. Capital. O’Connor also served on the National Advisory Board for Accounting and Regulatory standards and is an alumnus of St. Thomas University and holds a MBA in Finance from University of Minnesota.
Patrick Gilbert - Vice President Customer Solutions
As Vice President of Customer Solutions, Patrick Gilbert brings more than 18 years of voice convergence experience to Iperia. He leads all aspects of customer solutions for Iperia, ensuring Iperia products deliver real value and benefits for our customers and partners. Additionally, Gilbert leads Iperia’s I.M.P.A.C.T. initiative, which is an Iperia proven process and methodology for helping companies in a pre-purchase mode to develop a business case and prototype for simulating their experience and benefits with Iperia. Previously, Gilbert was Vice President of Solution Engineering at Ascendent Systems, which was acquired by RIM. At RIM, he led field services for fixed-mobile convergence solutions and was instrumental in the design and development of the BlackBerry Mobile Voice System. Prior to Ascendent, Gilbert was Director of Sales Engineering at Aspect Communications where he managed a team of over 50 sale engineers focused on supporting sales efforts to Global Enterprises and Government accounts. In addition, he has held various Engineering roles at McKesson, Expert Systems and IBM. He holds a B.S. in Computer Sciences from Georgia Tech.
Gordon Ledgard - Vice President of Engineering
Gordon Ledgard has been leading, designing, and managing complex software efforts for over 30 years. Gordon headed the team that produced world's first VoIP Unified Messaging platform operating in a commercial carrier network based on the SIP standard. He also implemented the first Unified Messaging solution fully qualified to operate in an IMS (Internet Multimedia Subsystem) network.
During Iperia's early years Gordon lead key efforts to introduce unique VoIP/SIP capabilities to Iperia's communication products. He has been providing leadership for Iperia's software development team since 2006. Prior to Iperia, Gordon led development efforts for Analogic in the area of long distance telephony monitoring equipment. He was also awarded a patent in the field of high-speed commercial digital printing while at Gamma Graphics.
Jonathan Wilson - SVP, Product Development
Jonathan Wilson brings two decades of experience in designing and developing multi-million dollar enterprise software systems, encompassing industrial control, document management, and telecommunications platforms for major national and international companies. Jonathan's depth of experience includes building market-leading products for the Windows platform, J2EE, and mobile devices.
Jonathan previously worked at Thomson Corporation and Ceon. At Thomson Corporation, Jonathan held management positions in Research and Development. At Ceon, he was Engineering Manager and Director of Product Management where he successfully led technical teams in building large enterprise systems for Time Warner Cable, Charter Communications, RCN, British Telecom, and Portugal Telecom.
Jonathan started his career designing control and monitoring systems for clients such as British Nuclear Fuels and Scottish Power. He received a BS in Computer Science from University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, UK.
