Iperia Unveils IperiaVX™ Platform

Innovative Solution Creates Service Differentiation for Service Providers and Enterprises

North Billerica, Massachusetts, June 26, 2007 —— Iperia, Inc., a leading provider of customer-proven unified communication platforms to the service provider industries, today announced the market launch of IperiaVX, a revolutionary service-creation platform specifically designed to meet the evolving business requirements and market demands of enterprises and service providers worldwide. IperiaVX enables seamless integration of new and existing communications applications into a single, voice-enabled platform.

IperiaVX is built on the carrier-class unified communications applications of the ActivEdge™ platform which is deployed worldwide with over a million users. IperiaVX leverages standards-based portlet technology (JSR168), SIP Servlet technology (JSR116) and service oriented architecture (SOA) design principles. These standards allow users to quickly create new voice services that can expand the scope of traditional, commonly accessed business systems used for customer relationship management (CRM), enterprise resource planning (ERP), sales tools, and other enterprise applications.

“We took the applications from our hardened, carrier-grade ActivEdge product, migrated them to a Linux environment, and then expanded those features to include SOA-based web services. This allows service providers to host unique, revenue-generating services for their enterprise and residential customers. Enterprises can directly utilize IperiaVX to build voice services that add value and efficiencies to their business,” said David Jodoin, Chief Executive Officer of Iperia.

IperiaVX allows service providers to offer to their end users a wide range of exciting new features. The functionality can increase average revenue per user (ARPU), reduce churn and generate new customers. Service providers can also use these united technologies to create new or customize existing applications to better suit any industry vertical. “Standards-based Java technology, coupled with the IperiaVX toolkit, enables service providers of any size or type to quickly build solutions that allow them to differentiate themselves in the market. They no longer need to compete on price alone,” said Chris Poer, Vice President of Sales at Iperia.

Enterprises can use IperiaVX’s service creation capabilities to develop new functionality and voice-enable existing business processes. Whether it is an enhancement of an existing application or a “mashup” of several applications, the integration of voice services into traditional business systems increases the value of any enterprise business. IperiaVX provides voice communication tools such as click-to-call, click-to-conference, and out-dial messaging to be seamlessly combined within a portal environment.

“IperiaVX makes voice communication features available as a series of Web services, shielding application developers from the complexities of the communications infrastructure,” Jodoin explained. “That makes it even easier for companies to align the right data with the right people at the right time, for better process efficiency, greater business agility and a higher return on their existing VoIP investments.”

IperiaVX is a Linux-based, highly scalable and flexible development platform. IperiaVX applications, combined with best of breed SIP technologies, result in a joint IMS solution to provide telecom network operators with a SIP-enabled, converged communications platform for delivering unified communications services including voicemail, auto-attendant, fax and conferencing. IperiaVX includes support for multiple protocols and interfaces, such as SIP, SOAP, HTTP, Java, J2EE, and standards-based Web Services technologies including JSR 168 and JSR 116.

Iperia has partnered with industry leaders IBM® and BEA™ to leverage the technology and security of their application and SIP servers, making IperiaVX compatible with the majority of portal technologies available today. The platform is currently deployed at select customer locations and is generally available. For additional information please contact sales@iperia.com.
