ActivEdge Products Overview
Iperia's ActivEdge solution provides essential network communications services for emerging and major service providers implementing VoIP networks.
The Iperia solution consists of the ActivEdge applications uniquely suited to provide robust communication and messaging services for enterprise and residential markets. Each application can be customized in accordance to specific service provider requirements while maintaining a focus on broad market appeal. Features are selectable as class of service options on a per-subscriber or per-organization basis.

The ActivEdge solution consists of three software components: Web Application Server, Call Control Agent and Notification Engine. The Web Application Server hosts each application -- Voicemail, Visual Voicemail, Auto-Attendant, Unified Messaging, Fax, Personal Address Book, and Conferencing. The Call Control Agent manages the traffic to/from ActivEdge and the IP and/or PSTN network. The Notification Engine manages the notification events for each user.
ActivEdge user and management interfaces are developed based upon the product's open APIs and VoiceXML technology, allowing for flexibility and ease of use to make rapid changes. The features and functions of ActivEdge may be integrated with either a client or web-based GUI. Each subscriber or organization can have its own look and feel.
The "MyActivEdge" GUI allows a subscriber to manage messages, change mailbox options and create a personal address book. The OSS Provisioning GUI provides administrators a friendly mechanism to create, delete and modify ActivEdge accounts. The ActivEdge Auto-Attendant GUI is a powerful tool to enable administrators with creativity and flexibility to build new menu-driven applications for callers. In addition, ActivEdge provides a command line interface (CLI) to manage the functions of the software applications.
ActivEdge can be deployed in high-available implementations configured to meet each customer's needs. High availability is based upon both multi-server architecture (N+1) and redundancy (1+1).
ActivEdge is highly scalable, open-standards applications software that leverages SIP, VoiceXML and VoIP to deliver compelling and innovative communications services. The industry standards approach allows ActivEdge to run on off-the-shelf servers running either Sun Solaris or Linux.
In addition, ActivEdge leverages shared resources such as IMAP message and LDAP directory servers, softswitches, feature servers and media servers enabling service providers to build a best-in-class solution. The ActivEdge architecture is designed to support the additions of new features and functions such as Video Mail, Find-Me, Presence, Multimedia Messaging, and Instant Communications.
ActivEdge solutions can fully integrate into a modular architecture to deliver robust feature sets without compromising availability, reliability, and customization capabilities.
